By Sprague, Cynthia
Diamond Elementary participates in a school-wide Title I program funded under a section of federal education law providing funding and support to schools for programs and services to help students succeed. Title I funds are used to improve academic performance and increase parental involvement in our students' education.
Our Reading Specialists and paraprofessionals will be supplementing students' educational experiences by team-teaching with classroom teachers, assisting with whole group, small group, or one-on-one individualized instruction both in the regular classroom and/or Reading instructional classrooms. Teachers will provide differentiated instruction and supplemental instruction for those students identified as benefiting from those strategies.
Our Reading Specialists work very closely with all members of the Diamond Elementary team which includes administrators, counselor, regular education teachers, paraprofessionals, and parents. The Diamond Elementary School values and encourages parental involvement in the educational process and will provide opportunities throughout the school year for families to participate and provide input for the program.
